Falling for the Favorite

I missed fall so much while we were living overseas. Very few leaves changed color in the city where we lived and the pollution kept us from smelling the crispness in the air. I'm happy it's here!

But how many times have fall leaves been painted? Millions? And here we are trying to recreate the beauty God set before us--beauty in death! We resist change, we flee from death, and here we are recreating the recreated. Only God could make the natural, the mundane, the predictable, the sad... beautiful!

Don't worry about being cliche, be genuine in your painting and let others be the judge. Or not.

Stay tuned tomorrow to see this year's Christmas card. It will also be available for pre-order at a discount price!
