Giving Chinese Calligraphy a Shot


I had been intimidated for years. I was going to contract someone to do the Chinese for me, but after painting everything else, I almost felt sorry for the poor anxious calligrapher who'd work on top of it with pressure mounting. So, I did what every self-respecting illustrator does these days: I did my research and gave it a shot. 

Yes, I googled. Yes, I used a web-automated font. Yes, I'm not too proud to say it. And until someone tells me I wrote something completely wrong, I'm proud of this piece.
