Be Strong and Courageous

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

How many times do we need to hear this? Like, a ka-JILLION. We cower at the sight of giants... or in my case, at the sight of a giant mess in the living room. Or a giant bill. Or just a kinda big one. And how often does God usher us into a challenge? Plenty often.

Oh, how we need to pray for each other--how we need to fully see The WHO that is with us and HOW He is wherever we go. {And that's a lot of places.}

I'm reading through the Old Testament again. There are lots of areas where I am convicted of our great God. He works powerfully for some and against others through those pages, but always powerfully, and always for His purposes.

What encourages you to set your eyes on the Big God that's with us? Think long and hard about that. Sit in it, even if it's a hard-earned five minutes.

Keep painting on this Earth Day/ #watercolordevowednesday!

I turned on the radio this afternoon to hear Chuck Swinoll quoting this verse on Insight for Living. I use to work there as a graphic artist. Funny.
